How to Join
Every prospective chorus member is expected to...
- Commit to attending rehearsals
- Provide evidence of the ability to take personal and independent responsibility for learning notes, words and musical interpretation
- Audition to demonstrate tone of voice, ability to sing in pitch, ability to perform and ability to sing and match to others
- Commit to the aims of the chorus
Admittance into the chorus will be dependent on passing an audition, but also may be restricted by chorus balance and total chorus numbers.
The audition process is split into two stages. For the first stage we will provide access to teach tracks & sheet music for a short audition piece and ask you to submit a recording for assessment. On satisfactory completion of the first stage we will invite you to attend a rehearsal and ask you to do a live audition, singing the audition piece in quartet.
